Nature Demonstrates
Most ideas and inventions that change our lives are based on everyday experiences and observations of nature. This also applies to GnL:
Long before walking and jogging were popular sports, an engineer who's accumulated miles equaled running around the world twice wondered why the soles on his shoes wore off, and why landing in sand and snow was made with such ease yet the push-off was so exhausting.
He came to the conclusion that the reasons were the "shearing-forces". It is necessary for these forces to be absorbed during landing, but just the opposite is true during push-off. An interface between shoe and surface had to be created in order to counteract these opposing demands.
This resulted in the development of the GnL Elements.
